The Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center & the Appomattox County 4-H Extension Programs, will again, be offering numerous activities. The Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center has many events & programs for various age groups, see below what is being offered & join in the fun.
The Appomattox County 4-H Extension Office also has a good variety of after-school & specialty clubs, as well as, events during the year for youth to participate in. Family Pool Membership
Falling River Country Club will be offering a family pool membership again this year for $625.00 for the summer. The pool opens Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, & is open seven days a week. For more information, call 434-352-7037.

Appomattox/Lynchburg/Lunenburg 4-H Camp
This fun filled week long camp will be held July 23 - 27, 2018. For youth ages 9 - 13. The cost is $185. Scholarships available to qualified individuals. For additional information, contact the Extension Office at 434-352-8244.
Oil Painting Class
Join Judy Moore-Gist at the Holiday Lake 4-H Center on August 23, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to paint a beautiful landscape picture. No painting experience needed. Interstate Exchange 4-H Club
This club is for members 13-18 years of age. It is an in-depth learning experience in which 4-H members, leaders and/or staff have a reciprocal host family experience with a 4-H program from another state. For more information call the Appomattox Extension Office at 434-352-8244.
Appomattox 4-H Shooting Education Club
This club meets on various days including Thursday evenings & Sunday afternoons. Members learn safe firearm handling & proper shooting techniques. Appomattox 4-H Horse & Pony Club

Junior Master Gardener 4-H Club
This after-school club will help youth will learn about: annuals & perennials; vegetable gardening; nature crafts & projects to take home. There will be numerous hands-on activities. Fun With Foods
This after-school program is for those who enjoy cooking & would like to learn some new skills. Open to ages 9-13, meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The classes will end in May. The cost for this program is $7.00 per class, to cover food & cooking item expenses. Please call the Appomattox Extension Office to register.
Appomattox 4-H Handbell Club
Members in this club will learn to read music & play handbells & chimes. There will be a minimum of 2 public performances. This club meets Wednesdays, after school, at the Appomattox Courthouse Presbyterian Church (behind AMS). Youth must be at least in the 4th grade.
