One of the major strengths of Appomattox County is its abundance of land resources. From small parcels to large acreage tracts, land to suit most any need is available for sale or lease. Most of the available acreage is privately-held, but the Economic Development Authority owns and operates the Appomattox Center for Business and Commerce, a 485-acre mixed use park complete with public water and sewer. The Appomattox Center also serves as a major hub for Mid-Atlantic Broadband, one of the most advanced fiber networks in the world.
As a largely rural county located within a short drive of the City of Lynchburg—a major shopping, dining, finance, educational, and entertainment center—Appomattox is poised to become one of the fastest growing areas of Central Virginia. We invite you to browse the available sites and buildings, then make plans to visit our county. To arrange a visit, please contact the Department of Economic Development at (434) 352-2637.
We look forward to your visit!
