The Appomattox County Department of Economic Development is located in the County Administration Building, 153-A Morton Lane, just behind the Appomattox County Courthouse in the Town of Appomattox. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. EST Monday through Friday.

The Department of Economic Development is available to assist local employers in a variety of ways that will enhance and strengthen their businesses to better face future challenges.

The Department also works with the Region 2000 Economic Development Council and with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership to bring new business and industry opportunities into Appomattox County.

The Department also serves as staff for the Economic Development Authority (EDA) of Appomattox County and works closely with the EDA to promote the economic prosperity of the Appomattox Community.
