Overall Purpose of office: Assistance to taxpayers with Federal and State Income Tax returns for Appomattox County residents. Assess Real Estate and Personal Property.

Programs/Services offered: Free tax assistance for Appomattox County Residents with Federal and State Income Tax returns by appointment only. Administration of Tax Relief for the elderly and handicapped. Assist taxpayers with correspondence from IRS and Department of Taxation.

Important Due Dates: Federal Income Tax Due Date - April 15th State Income Tax Due Date – May 1st Personal Property returns – May 1st Tax Relief for the Elderly & Handicapped application – May 1st.
